Guest Service Agent

FULL TIME or PART TIME

As a Guest Service Agent, you’ll be providing exceptional service from processing reservations for our world class accommodation, golf and restaurants, to assisting our in-house guests during their visit to Barnbougle. Your warm welcome and attention to detail will ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanour
  • Assist guests with phone and online reservations, check-in and check-out procedures
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and special arrangements
  • Ensure accurate billing and payment processing
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally

Skills:

  • Previous hospitality experience is favourable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in using word processing documents
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software is preferred
  • Flexibility to work shifts between 6.30am-9.00pm, including weekends and holidays.

Demi Chef

FULL TIME

Barnbougle Golf Links is recruiting a reliable and experienced Demi Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll contribute to a dynamic environment serving fresh, local fare.

We focus on high-quality local produce, contemporary and (mostly) uncomplicated cuisines that consistently exceed the expectations of our guests. This role is premised on diversity, working across our amazing venues, with a strong focus on collaboration. 

The Role:

  • Work with the kitchen management team to ensure food standards are maintained to meet guest expectations;
  • Demonstrate confidence and competence in preparation and cooking techniques;
  • Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages, including preparation and presentation;
  • Work closely with the team in all aspects of kitchen operations, providing guidance and support;
  • Follow and demonstrate established guidelines for food safety and handling;
  • Ensure appropriate stock rotation, monitor stock levels, and assist with food costing and control, where required;
  • Assist and guide new staff in aspects of kitchen presentation and operations, including maintenance, mise en place, and service;
  • Demonstrate high respect and understanding for Work Health & Safety procedures;
  • Weekend, evening, and public holiday work will be essential.

You will be:

  • Trade certified in commercial cookery;
  • Experienced as a qualified chef;
  • Experienced in kitchen operations of a similar size and style;
  • Respectful and professional 
  • Passionate with an appreciation for delivering exceptional food experiences 
  • Careful and competent in maintaining high standards, even when under pressure;
  • Physically fit to perform role-related tasks, including working on your feet, heavy lifting, and movement of goods;
  • An understanding of safe work practices with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

4th Year Apprentice Chef

Barnbougle Golf Links is seeking a 4th Year Apprentice Chef to join their dynamic and professional team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will be involved in food preparation and presentation for al a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you enjoy variety in your day and are passionate about food preparation and presentation as well as delivering quality cuisine with a flair, then this is a role for you. 

Essential duties for the role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare mise-en place as required
  • Prepare and present menu items 
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, whereby you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned
  • Be familiar with the other areas in the kitchen so when called upon, assistance can be provided.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • have the capacity to multitask
  • cope well under pressure
  • ability to meet tight deadlines

Barnbougle has casual positions available for food and beverage staff. This role enjoys the diversity of working across both Barnbougle Lost Farm and Barnbougle Dunes restaurants and the Lost Farm Sports Bar.

Skills and Experience:

  • Be reliable, flexible and able to work across 7 days as required including weekends & public holidays
  • A friendly, focused attitude with the drive to provide total guest satisfaction.
  • Must be motivated with the ability to follow instructions
  • Must have an eye for detail
  • A team player with the ability to assist in all areas of F&B operations during peak times
